Coachella Valley SCORE Earns 2020 Platinum Chapter Excellence Award
The national office of SCORE “Mentors to America’s Small Business” honored Coachella Valley SCORE with the Platinum Chapter Excellence Award for outstanding performance in 2020. The award recognizes Coachella Valley SCORE for achieving service excellence in support of local small businesses.
SCORE Coachella Valley has been a part of the Desert small business community for 46 years. In 2020, SCORE Coachella Valley experienced significant demand from the community due to Covid19. The chapter’s volunteers provided 859 free one-on-one mentoring sessions and recorded the attendance of 127 clients at local workshops.
“I am very proud of the work that our volunteers have done this year to receive this well-deserved award. Our volunteers are committed to mentoring, educating, and supporting the Coachella Valley’s startup, entrepreneur, and minority-owned businesses through our free personalized mentoring sessions and workshops, conducted in both English and Spanish,” says Coachella Valley SCORE Chapter Chair Liz Hauer. “Our 25 volunteers have a passion for business. They are committed to the success of the Coachella Valley small businesses.”
